  5. Exit Options
  6. Now try to play the game.

FIX 2: Underlock your GPU/CPU

There is another culprit that cause Dev Error 6068. The overclocking in NVIDIA or MSI is the reason behind the error. Turning it down or underlocking can fix the problem. Underlocking can reduce the heating problem, increase the stability of the PC and can promote compatibility.

Reduce the clockspeed of CPU/GPU to its stock speed can help to solve the problem.

FIX 3: Update Windows and System Drivers to the Latest Build

  1. Open the Battle.net launcher.
  2. Now, open the Call of Duty window.
  3. Click on “show in Explorer”
  4. In the call of duty, folder find and press right-click on the file with .exe extension.
  5. In the sub-menu, search for Run as administrator. Click on that.
  6. Then check if the problem is solved or not.

FIX 6: Disable Crossplay

  1. Launch the game
  2. Open the game options
  3. In the options menu, navigate to the Account tab.
  4. Select crossplay option
  5. Press disable
  6. Now check if the game is working fine.

FIX 7: Change Video Memory Scale

Video memory scale give the game the allowance to maintain the VRAM. Sometimes the game load the VRAM very heavily and chokes it, and cause the Dev Error 6968. Lowering the setting can help you to solve the problem.

  1. Exit the Call of Duty and kill all its related processes with the help of the Task Manager.
  2. Launch the File Explorer
  3. Now, navigate to the path of your player folder.
  4. Search for the file adv_options.ini and open it using notepad.
  5. Find the line of VideoMemoryScale.
  6. Now change the value of VideoMemoryScale to 0.5.
  7. Then launch the Call of Duty and check if the problem is solved.

FIX 8: Reinstall the game

If nothing has worked till now, then you are left with just one option-you have to uninstall the game and reinstall it.

  1. Launch the Battle.net launcher
  2. Press the icon of the Call of Duty
  3. Click on the uninstall game button

  7. Install the Call of Duty
